Christmas Schedule
December offers several opportunities to celebrate the reason for the season -- the birth of Jesus. On Thursday, December 14 at 6:30 p.m., there will be a Blue Christmas Service which embraces those experiencing hardship or loss and struggle at this festive time of year. On Sunday, December 24, there will be only ONE SERVICE held at Christ Lutheran Church in Manchester at 10:30 a.m. for the 4th Sunday in Advent. Return later for an early Carol Service at 3:30 p.m. or the late Candlelight Service at 10:00 p.m., which will offer special music from the hand bell choir and other musicians. A Candlelight Service at 7:00 p.m. will also be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Manchester. We will be having a Christmas Day Service at 10:00 a.m. as well. On Sunday, December 31, there will be only ONE SERVICE at St. Peter's at 10:30 a.m. with a Potluck Brunch Christmas Party with carol singing held after the service.
Final community Meal
It will sadness and deep regret to announce that Sunday, June 11 was our final regular monthly community meal for the foreseeable future. Thank you to all who supported this ministry and to the regulars who attended over the years. Plenty of delicious meals were made and served since beginning the ministry 10 years ago, and many have benefited from the meals. Please continue to check back on the website and follow us on Facebook for updates and upcoming events.
Our Community Meal cook, Jen Olson, passed away on Thursday, June 15 after a long battle with cancer. A Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving was held on Saturday, August 12 at 10:00 a.m. The service was livestreamed on our Facebook page. Click here for a worship guide.

Tutors Needed
NEEDED: TUTORS FOR CHILDREN IN GRADES 1-6
St. Peter's Lutheran Church partners with many other churches in the area for the York Conference of Lutherans Tutoring Program.
The York Conference of Lutherans Tutoring Program is seeking volunteer tutors to work one-on-one with students on Monday or Tuesday evenings during the upcoming school year! Tutors need not be teachers, or even have a degree. We need people who are willing to assist elementary grade students with homework, read with them, help them learn spelling, math facts, etc. We welcome tutors of ages 15 and up! If you like young people and want to make a difference in the life of a young person, then this is for you!!! Tutors over 18 must apply for clearances, but there is no charge to you as a volunteer. Can’t commit every week? We always need substitutes!
NOTE: One of our primary goals is to maintain the health and safety of our tutors and students. We will be following the guidance of the PA Dept. of Education and the PA Health Dept. regarding safety protocols. Contact Shari Young at ycltutoring@gmail.com or 717-586-9310 for more information.
